Adaptive Technologies
Scene 1
What activities do you think will be helpful in addressing the learning styles of your students?
-As a teacher, being aware of how individuals within your classroom best assimilate and
process knowledge allows you to plan instruction and activities that present information in a
variety of ways to address as many learning styles as possible. In the classroom you will find
students who learn in a variety of ways, with the three most common being visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles. Understanding the different learning styles for each individual student will help make a more effective teacher.
Scene 2
How would this type of collaboration help your instruction and benefit your students?
-Any time of collaboration with another professional can be helpful in many ways. Juanita's advice gave Marilyn new ideas to not only benefit the students but also to help the way she prepares her insturction.
Scene 3
-How is Marilyn using graphic organizers to enhance the lessons? How will the use of graphic organizers help Oscar? One way Marilyn used graphic organizers is when she incorporated whisper reading and allowed the children to fill out their own blank graphic organizer map of the same orgaizer informaion. She also incorporated a sequencing activity for Two Bad Ands.
Scene 4
-Reflect upon your experiences using the Web to locate information. What difficulties have you encountered that might be addressed by using a WebQuest?
I use the web to locate information on a daily basis. Last week I used the web to show an educational viedo in the classroom I was subing for. I think the Web is a fast, easy way to locate information. A difficulty when using a WebQuest is that the school may not have access to a website to place the pages online. However, WebQuests are a great way to introduce students to a variety of points of view.
Scene 5
-List and describe three benefits the students gained from being included in Oscar's small group.
Allowing the students to work with Oscar benefited bothe Oscar and the students in many ways. The students worked together to achieve a academic goal. Working with Oscar allowed each student to be including in helping, tutoring, assisting, and general facilitation of each other's learning.
Do you think Oscar's experience would have been as powerful if he would have worked in isolation with Juanita? No because Oscar was not only able to work on social skills but also learned from his peers academically.
Scene 6
-Describe three ways in which Marilyn's use of technology addresses the needs of her class and allowed all students to participate in the lesson.
The class was abloe to learn about the author and biographical information at the same time. The students participated in the lesson by investigating Eric Carle from a new perspective while learning different writing elements.
The students participated in the lesson by finger painting colored papers with texture on newsprint. The students prepared an imovie.

Football game
Whether your at school or having fun, technology is used everywhere. Technology is being used all around us even at a football game. Besides the fans using technology on cellular phones the coaches and the players also use technology. The coaches and the referees use headsets that recall plays and players throughout the game. The scoreboard is also a big way technology is being used. Many people do not realize how often they look at the scoreboard at the football game. From everyday life to going to a football game, imagining life without technology is unthinkable.

Arrange cartoons and other pictures in a logical sequence.
Sort, categorize, and characterize word lists.
While reading a story, stop before you've finished and predict what will happen next.

Play games that require critical thinking. For example, pick the one word that doesn't fit: chair, table, paper clip, sofa. Explain why it doesn't fit.
Work with scrambled sentences. Talk about what happens when the order is changed.
After finishing a story, mind map some of the main ideas and details.

Trace letters and words on each other's back.
Use magnetic letters, letter blocks, or letters on index cards to spell words.
Take a walk while discussing a story or gathering ideas for a story.
Make pipe cleaner letters. Form letters out of bread dough. After you shape your letters, bake them and eat them!
Use your whole arm (extend without bending your elbow) to write letters and words in the air.
Change the place where you write and use different kinds of tools to write, ie., typewriter, computer, blackboard, or large pieces of paper.
Write on a mirror with lipstick or soap.
Take a walk and read all the words you find during the walk.
Handle a Koosh ball or a worry stone during a study session.
Take a break and do a cross-lateral walk.
The scores for your other five intelligences:
3.71
3.71
3.57
3.57
3.43
Just because these five are not in your top three doesn’t mean you’re not strong in them. If your average score for any intelligence is above three, you’re probably using that intelligence quite often to help you learn. Take a look at the Practice section to see how to engage all your intelligences.

Teachers Webpage
The google website is a great idea for teachers to use. The website allows you to create a webpage including the information you want to share with others. My webpage has five different pages. The first page is a resume about myself and background information about why Iwant to be a teacher. The next few pages are about different topics that in my opinion are helpful hints for others to know about, such as, tips about sunscreen. The last page has a list of web resources that i believe the general public and teachers may find very beneficial. Making your own webpage is a great idea for anyone to consider. I plan on keeping my website and showing my coworkers or students in the future when im a teacher.
